Student Grievances Redressal Committee (SGRC)

The Student Grievances Redressal Committee (SGRC) of Sree Narayana Guru College of Commerce is constituted as per UGC guidelines to address and resolve student grievances in a fair, transparent, and timely manner. The committee ensures a harmonious academic environment by safeguarding the interests of students and promoting institutional accountability.

Objectives of the Committee

  • To provide a platform for students to express grievances related to academic and administrative matters
  • To ensure timely and impartial redressal of student complaints
  • To promote transparency and trust between students and the institution

Mechanism of Grievance Redressal

Grievances are received through:

1. Grievance/Suggestion Box

2. Direct written or verbal complaints

The Student Grievances Redressal Committee met periodically during the academic year to review grievances and suggest appropriate actions.


Functions of the Student Grievances Redressal Committee(SGRC)

  1. To receive, examine, and address grievances submitted by students related to academic, administrative, and student support services.

  2. To provide a fair, transparent, and accessible platform for students to express their grievances without fear of discrimination or retaliation.

  3. To ensure timely and impartial redressal of student complaints in accordance with institutional policies and UGC norms.

  4. To review grievances received through various modes such as the grievance/suggestion box, written submissions, and direct representations.

  5. To maintain confidentiality of the grievance process and protect the interests of all stakeholders involved.

  6. To maintain proper records of grievances received, actions taken, and resolutions achieved for monitoring and reporting purposes.
